As Events & Social Media Manager, you will:

  • Plan and execute internal and external events such as roundtables and conferences
  • Write and assist in the design of collateral, with authority to approve or revise
  • Develop, execute, and analyze digital campaigns and assigned budgets
  • Exercise a high degree of professionalism and self-motivation using personal initiative to identify and recommend best practices
  • Demonstrates a continued commitment to professional education and industry best practices
  • This position may be required to train or manage team members
  • All employees are required to perform the following essential functions: demonstrate predictable, reliable, and timely attendance; follow written and verbal directions and complete assigned tasks on schedule; read, write and communicate in English; communicate in person and by telephone following CyraCom policy; learn from directions, observations, and mistakes; work independently or as part of a team; interact appropriately with others including co-workers, supervisors, and customers; and work with supervision, receiving instructions/feedback, coaching/counseling and corrective action if necessary.

As Events & Social Media Manager, you must have:

  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations
  • 2+ years of planning, executing, and evaluating internal and external events
  • 2+ years of experience planning and managing in-person/virtual events
  • Advance project management skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Social Media Marketing, Email Marketing, Marketing Research, and Event Coordination
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other programs)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite or Canva (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Spark, and other programs)
  • Advanced experience negotiating hotel, AV, and other vendor contracts
  • Skilled at conducting marketing research and the ability to present and explain data
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar social marketing platform
  • Write collateral and assist in the design process
  • Develop, execute, and analyze email campaigns
  • Strong content writing and editing skills, with an ability to clearly and concisely explain technical and non-technical concepts through written documents and visual presentations
  • Highly developed organizational skills to manage simultaneous tasks and multiple deadlines
  • Skilled at developing effective working relationships at all levels in the organization
  • Adept at collaborating with diverse groups and team-building
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency
  • Strong critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to operate office equipment, including but not limited to computer, fax, copier, and telephone system

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Experience with Facebook Ads Manager, Business Manager, Organic and paid ad campaigns
  • Experience with Instagram for business
  • Experience with Canva preferred
  • Experience with OBS software or other screen recording software
  • Experience researching, securing, and coaching speakers hired for events
  • Experience with HTML
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or directly related field from an accredited college/university

Work Location:

Based in the Tucson, AZ metro area; some travel to the office will be required.

Travel:

Ability to travel to internal and external events within the US when needed.
