About the role This position is responsible for designing and drafting basic to moderate designs, and assisting more senior designers with systems projects. Responsibilities Review projects to ensure that the project's BOM generated from quotations matches the project requirements as defined in specifications, plans or other documentation, and to confirm the projects as working systems Design and draft from conception through design, incorporating all available documents to develop working systems Provide customers with device placement layout in order to illustrate approximate device location within the space; device placements will be done on customer provided electronic lighting plan drawings, as required Assist project managers through documentation of all changes and correspondence related to projects Work on any other assignments not directly related to specific projects, but part of departmental development Meet project turnaround time to ensure the best service to Leviton customers, while maintaining compatibility in market projects, which are to be completed within the scheduled time frame Qualifications Skills & Abilities Must have a background in electrical/electronic drafting and be proficient in the latest version of AutoCAD Basic programming skills and willingness to expand programming capability: VBA,C++/C#, .NET Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, engineers, consultants, contractors, and electricians Must be able to read and interpret construction industry drawings and specifications Must be able to work in an agile work environment Good organizational skills and enthusiasm for productivity Good customer service skills Must be able to cope with the change of priorities without difficulty Must meet project deadlines Education & Experience Technical Associate's Degree or equivalent working experience Minimum of 2 years' working experience in a manufacturing environment or with an electrical contractor for commercial / industrial lighting installation, or related field to application Travel up to 5% What We Offer Comprehensive benefits include: Medical, dental, and vision insurance programs 401K plans with employer-matching contributions Tuition reimbursement PTO Paid holidays Volunteer time off For more information about benefits, please go to: https://careers.leviton.com/benefits Leviton is an EEO/AA Employer.
