Aircraft Maintenance and Repair
This safety-sensitive position involves performing consistent and accurate disassembly, cleaning, evaluation, repairs, modifications, and assembly of aircraft components adhering to approved data. The role requires participation in an FAA approved Drug and Alcohol screening program. Responsibilities include using precision measuring instruments, performing detailed component repairs, utilizing power and hand tools for various tasks, writing clear reports on evaluations, adhering to EHS requirements, FAA and EASA regulations, and reviewing and interpreting related paperwork for proper identification and operational sequences.
Skills
Use of precision measuring instruments (feeler gauges, dial indicators, micrometers, calipers)
Repair of detail components (filing, stoning, lapping, polishing)
Drilling, sanding, and riveting using power and hand tools
Competence in the use of torque wrenches
Chemical treatment of repaired surfaces
Understanding of SAC torque specifications
Ability to follow procedures in maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and drawings
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Clear and concise writing skills
Strong communication skills
Work Environment
