Martis Camp Communications and Concierge Manager in Truckee, California

POSITION SUMMARY :  

The Communications & Concierge Manager supports Martis Camp Club operations through responsibility for the creation, editing, and publishing of Member and Ambassador marketing materials and communications content and management of daily operations of the concierge department.

Ambassadors : The Communications & Concierge Manager guides and showcases the company culture through creative content development including, for example, recruiting materials, weekly information sheets and Ambassador of the Month accolades.

Club and Membership : The Communications & Concierge Manager manages and updates the Club’s mobile app and reservations system; updates the company website in collaboration with the Creative Director; proactively creates print and digital content in support of the Club calendar of Member events and activities including Club posters, fliers and menu updates.

Concierge: The Communications & Concierge Manager is responsible for all facets of concierge department operations including supporting the Lead Concierge, assisting with selection and training of Concierge ambassadors, and creating and implementing standard operating procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :  

  • Work with the Lead Concierge and other concierge Ambassadors to ensure all member-related services are provided accurately and consistently. 

  • Closely collaborate with the Creative Director to ensure consistency of the Martis Camp brand across platforms and in all messaging.

  • Create weekly Ambassador Information Sheets, monthly digital newsletters, and additional Ambassador electronic and print communications as needed.

  • Work closely with department leaders to frequently update Food & Beverage, Spa, Golf, Fitness and Recreation menus, weekly updates, and promotional collateral. 

  • Create and manage event posters, shuttle posters, and other signage for the property as needed.

  • Participate in the creation and review of summer and winter Club event calendars; confirm the accuracy of all information communicated to the membership.

  • Regularly provide creative content for the website and app.

  • Report on marketing needs and promotions in the Club Operations meetings.

  • Other duties as needed to contribute to fulfilling Martis Camp’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS :

     

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.

  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet project deadlines.

  • Experience with copywriting; strong editing and proofreading skills.

  • Experience with email marketing and creating digital content.

  • Experience with DSLR photography, videography, image resolution, and photo editing fundamentals preferred.

  • Experience with website content management; knowledge of HTML & WordPress preferred.

  • Familiarity with mobile app design and maintenance preferred.

  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred.

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND LICENSES :

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Graphic Design or a related field is preferred.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Constant Contact, and related design/publishing software.

  • Minimum 3-5 years in a communications or marketing position required.

Compensation is expected to be $80-90,000 per year depending on experience.
