Guthrie Food Service Helper - Food and Nutrition Services - Per Diem in Troy, Pennsylvania
Position Summary: To be an active member of the dietary team. To provide the best dietary service for the patients, guests and employees.
Education, License & Cert: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Prior experience desired, not necessary.
Essential Functions:
Assists on the serving line in the cafeteria for breakfast and lunch meals.
Deliver patient meal trays.
Prepares assembly line station for patient tray service in a timely manner.
Prepares specified food items for patient tray service and cafeteria according to marked menu and production sheets.
Scrapes and washes dishware from patient trays and employee cafeteria according to department sanitation procedures.
Transports food carts to and from designated areas on the patient floor in a safe and timely manner.
Other Duties:
Assists in the training of new employees.
Utilizes proper body mechanics to prevent injuries.
Attends meetings and training sessions as required. Also participates in quality work groups.
Demonstrates effective time management.
Demonstrates safe working habits.
Examines merchandise received. Checks for damages and shortages.
Maintains a neat, clean, and sanitary work area.
Maintains good order, cleanliness and sanitary standards of food storage area, freezers and refrigerators. Checks temperature and records.
Must be able to work on a rotation schedule as assigned by the Food Service Director, including weekends and holidays.
