Unity House School Nurse (RN/LPN) in Troy, New York
Are you tired of working swing shifts, over nights, weekends or during the holidays?
Exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse who enjoys working with children ages six weeks to five years old.
Monday - Friday 8am-4pm
(RN salary $30.73 - $32.08) (LPN salary $29.41 - $30.72) Salary is based on degree and experience. (Salary posted is starting base for LPN and starting base for RN)
Position may be eligible for a $750 sign on bonus!
Responsibilities :
Administer general first aid to students
Monitor and dispense student medications
Promote good health related habits
Provide health and wellness education to staff and parents
Communicate with parents, teachers and external providers regarding students
Understand child growth and development, community and family dynamics
Provide resources to families
Communicate effectively with non-school health professionals and social service agencies.
Promote and create culture of inclusion and belonging.
Requirements:
Current, unencumbered NYS Registered Nurse License or Licensed Practical Nursing. Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing; 1-year experience with pediatric patients. Valid and clean New York State Driver License is required. Reliable transportation. Nursing Bachelor’s degree preferred Associate’s degree acceptable with 1-year nursing and pediatric experience.
