Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Manager, Global Procurement - Packaging in Troy, New York

Regeneron Global Procurement Team is looking for a Manager, Global Procurement- Direct with experience in end-to-end Procurement Strategies/ Processes and with proven Successful Global Categories Execution. This role will be part of an amazing team reporting to a Director of Global Procurement- Direct. A typical day might include:

  • Accountable for supporting the definition and implementation of the global Packaging Category strategy to serve global and regional business needs as assigned.

  • Works closely with partners to manage discussions related to the Packaging Categories and aligns category priorities with Procurement management and partners.

  • Manage negotiations, supplier management activities, and partner engagement activities for the Packaging Category as assigned.

  • Supports Global Procurement by participating in organizational decisions in the Packaging categories with critical short and long-term impact on the success, efficiency, growth, and results of the category team.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry to support the growth and evolution of the Global Procurement organization and leverages this knowledge to drive improvements within Regeneron, aligned with corporate priorities.

  • Manages category activities to ensure compliance with appropriate GxPs and other applicable regulations.

  • Negotiates contract terms and conditions in consultation with Law department aligned with Regeneron’s priorities and business requirements.

  • May provide coaching and guidance on job performance and career development to direct reports (if applicable) and provides leadership examples for the organization.

This role may be for you if you:

  • Have experience successfully managing category processes, and suppliers across a breadth of categories

  • Build relationships with partners and suppliers to get results for Regeneron.

  • Demonstrate success working effectively with cross-functional teams to get results in Packaging categories or related categories through effective sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management.

  • Provide insight and knowledge regarding rates, unit costs, and costing structures to enable optimal negotiations.

  • Uses external data sources, market information, and supplier engagement to constantly improve Regeneron’s knowledge of supply market dynamics.

  • Individual who is experienced operating with integrity, focus, and clarity in an environment of ambiguity to drive change and improvement.

  • Demonstrated success supporting the global supply market evaluation process using all available market intelligence, risk, compliance, and financial assessment tools.

  • Supports the primary relationship manager with key supplier relationship management activities.

  • Experience managing associate level professionals preferred.

  • Ability to use standard business applications for communicating, presenting and analyzing (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

The role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study plus relevant, progressive experience in procurement, including experience in Pharma/BioPharma. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding with sourcing contracting tools, ERP’s, and eRFx systems preferred. (Oracle, Zycus, Ariba, Other). This role will require being onsite Monday-Friday. A relocation assistance package is available for those who qualify.

The salary ranges provided are shown in accordance with U.S. law and apply to U.S. based positions, where the hired candidate will be located in the U.S. If you are outside the U.S, please speak with your recruiter about salaries and benefits in your location.

Salary Range (annually)

$104,300.00 - $170,100.00
