Tool and Die Maker
Location: Battle Creek, MI Duration: 11 months
Description: Under the direction of a Tooling Supervisor, the Tool and Die Maker is responsible for repairing dies and making adjustments as needed to run dies in accordance with the customers standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to troubleshoot conditions in a production setting Perform die set operations Perform PMs on metal stamping dies Perform quality checks Perform other duties as required Complete all required and applicable training required by Client and its customers. Education / Experience / Skills: High School Education or Equivalent (GED)
Accountabilities: This position reports directly to the Tooling Supervisor who is responsible for their department.
Required Skills Qualifications: Journeyman Tool and Die Card from the Department of Labor preferred. Previous experience working as a Die Maker Experience working in a metal stamping facility Experience with large transfer and progressive dies a plus Able to lift 40 lbs. frequently depending upon rework Ability to solve problems and work with support personnel
