Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a test engineer for one of its defense clients in Troy, MI. The Test Engineer is a key role within the Product Assurance & Test team, as well as the engineering team, focused at delivering the highest levels of performance to the platform and crew for various military combat vehicles.

 Lead and support system and component trials.

 Develop and manage instrumentation for data collection.

 Analyze test data and document results.

 Create and maintain standard test procedures.

 Manage test equipment lifecycle.

 Support field test activities and logistics.

 Write incident reports and conduct failure analyses.

 Install and monitor test instrumentation.

 Ensure safety and environmental compliance.

 Manage stakeholder relationships.

 Train and mentor test engineers.

Skills and Requirements

BSc in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems)

 4-6 years of experience with the installation and recording data from recording devices

o  Data loggers, a variety of sensors such as accelerometers, strain gauges, video cameras and other test instrumentation, preferably on DoD ground vehicles.

 Experience in managing multiple vehicles under test

 Proven experience in data reduction to formats that are usable by engineers for analysis

 Knowledge of the US DoD process and procedures for vehicle development (MIL-STDs)

 Experience with data acquisition software, such as MATLAB/Labview

 Knowledge in Systems Engineering and related Standards/ Processes null
