What you Will Do

We have a unique opportunity for an experienced digital health strategist who will work with our clients and internal teams to define and develop scalable and cost-effective digital health programs and manage the end-to-end successful deployment of digital health solution capabilities & platforms. From a client-facing perspective, we are seeking a subject matter expert in emerging consumer engagement, operational enablement, and digital health trends who will lead engagements with provider organizations (Health Systems) and payers (Health Plans) with a focus on developing technology-enabled solutions to proactively react to their rapidly changing markets and the evolving healthcare industry landscape. This will include designing, prioritizing, and implementing digital transformation roadmaps that inform enterprise decision frameworks to align with the organization’s overarching strategic vision. This role will be expected to serve as a trusted adviser to senior executives and develop actionable recommendations on how to prioritize digital health investments to compete, differentiate, and develop innovative business models that elevate the patient experience and drive operational and clinical excellence.

Concurrently, the selected candidate will serve as a thought leader and collaborate with internal Guidehouse partners to develop and execute on the firm’s go-to-market strategy for digital health. This will include developing the consulting capabilities (including people recruitment and development) and engagement delivery methodologies that integrate with Guidehouse’s broader suite of advisory and digital / technology enablement services. Additionally, this resource will explore building additional business development channels, such as broader partnerships with Life sciences and Med Technology , software vendors, and nontraditional market “disrupters.”

Guidehouse’s Digital Health Services Include

Strategy and program planning including business case development Technical system requirements development, vendor analysis selection and negotiation. Operational redesign for digital care delivery. Innovation center development and design. Digital solution deployment and program/ project management Commercialization of start-up digital and consumer health solutions.

  • Participate in people development.

  • Collaborate in the continued growth and development of the firm’s Digital Health practice.

  • Lead engagements and be the primary point of contact for the client.

  • Manage multiple engagements and project teams.

  • Contribute to firm growth by identifying and pursuing follow-on and new business opportunities.

  • Market and collaboratively sell $2.5 to $10 million in consulting services revenue.

  • Actively collaborate with other Guidehouse practice areas to pursue and deliver on new / pull through follow on engagements.

  • Play an integral role in the recruitment and development of staff consultants.

  • Develop and deliver thought leadership on a national stage.

  • Be a leader in the firm and contribute to the firm’s culture and success.

  • Participate in firm and the Digital Health practice management.

  • Directors at Guidehouse, can progress to Partner where they can become shareholders of our solid and growing privately held firm.

What You Will Need:

  • Strong knowledge of and passion for the healthcare sector and Digital technologies

  • At least 10+ years of experience healthcare digital and preferably several years with consulting to healthcare providers, serving hospital systems, academic medical centers, children’s hospitals, or physician groups (consideration given to years of experience as a senior executive of a provider combined with consulting experience)

  • Leadership role in healthcare provider or payer settings, developing and deploying innovative digital health business models

  • Contribution to the growth of the practice through building and developing the organization’s digital health offerings and client delivery capabilities

  • Experience with Application and Data Integration patterns.

  • Experience in leading end-to-end business process design, business events derivation and associated data objects and entity modeling.

  • Identification of new markets and client types, potentially including technology companies and payers

  • Demonstrated use of personal industry and vendor network as well as Guidehouse relationships to collaboratively sell in a matrix team and manage ongoing engagements successfully

  • Subject matter expertise in emerging digital health and overall healthcare IT industry landscape (e.g., Digital Front Door, Digital Consumer Access, Care Management and Engagement Platforms, Care Anywhere, Hospital at Home technology, solution vendors, etc.)

  • Broad understanding of evolving health regulatory, reimbursement, and compliance trends and the intersection of digital health

  • Demonstrated record of solving complex problems, directing and managing individuals, and completing challenging projects

  • Track record of managing multiple projects, including work plans, deliverables, budgets and schedules, and accounts receivable

  • Demonstrated focus on staff development, coaching, and retention, with a refined ability to provide constructive and timely feedback

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain deep client relationships

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university Specialization in information technology or management is preferable.

  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills

  • Ability to travel 50% (as client conditions indicate)

What Would Be Nice to Have:

  • Outstanding drive, determination, and desire to be part of a growing, elite consulting firm

  • Experience in health enterprise solutions implementation, management and design is a plus

  • Experience in digital strategy in healthcare settings is a plus

  • Systems integration experience is a plus

  • Experience in enterprise architecture, enterprise architecture office setup and operations is a plus

  • Masters Degree or MBA

  • Active engagement as a thought leader through marketing activities such as networking with potential clients, participating in professional societies, and publishing and presenting thought leadership (white papers, speeches, and articles)

  • Previous exposure to applying machine learning/statistical models on large/enterprise-grade data is a plus

  • 5+ yrs.in larger matrixed consulting firm

  • 3+ yrs. selling consulting in healthcare digital space ($2.5M+ annually)

The annual salary range for this position is $128,800.00-$283,500.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
