Description

If you are a self-starter with a proven ability to identify issues and resolve problems, this is the Assistant Controller role for you! You will keep the Controller up to date on the accounting staff as the Assistant Controller. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Trenton, New Jersey area. Responsibilities:

• Back implementation and make sure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.

• Assist with the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting.

• Facilitate to ensure a competent, trained staff through regular assessment, development, and goal setting.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting

• 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience

• Deep technical background in public accounting (GAAP)

• Certified Public Accounting license or exams in progress

• Proven analytical skills, defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Complete understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
