We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Supply Planning to join our team. The Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of the supply planning process, including inventory management, production planning, and leadership of site planning teams. In this role you will have responsibility for leading cross functional efforts to develop and implement the supply planning processes for the Development & Manufacturing (D&M) business segment. You will lead the development and implementation of processes, objectives, and performance metrics for supply planning activities in support of the overall business segment objectives. You will formulate and implement processes to build a best-in-class supply planning organization and will be a resident expert in supply planning and inventory management best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead a team of supply planning professionals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following but other duties may be assigned.

Develop and implement supply planning strategies to manage production capacity, optimize inventory levels and meet customer demand. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply planning with sales, finance, and production goals. Conduct regular analysis of demand plans, inventory levels, and production capacity to identify opportunities for improvement. Lead and mentor a team of supply planning professionals, providing guidance and support as needed. Monitor and report on key supply chain metrics, such as fill rates, inventory turns, and on-time delivery performance, etc. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as supplier shortages or production delays. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline supply planning processes and reduce costs throughout the supply chain. Proactively manage projects through prioritization and active communication. Be a liaison between finance, sales, and operations teams to deal with material or service issues in a timely fashion. Develop strong relationships with all internal shareholders to maintain positive relations with peers and the site leadership teams to ensure key deliverables are met. This position may require travel to PCI facilities and/or supplier sites approximately 10% of the year. Ensure adherence to all company policies and processes. Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on supply planning. Knowledge of CDMO operations is especially desirable.

  • College Level Mathematical Skills

  • Must be able to communicate (verbally, written, and visually) complex ideas in simple and compelling ways effectively, with the ability to influence others.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic decisions.

  • Very High Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Willingness to Travel.

  • Knowledge and use of relevant supply chain planning software applications (MS Office, Smartsheet, Power BI, Tableau, Anaplan, SAP APS, etc.) and skills to use them effectively.

  • Highly self-motivated team player who can work effectively with management, business unit personnel, and other stakeholders.

  • Effective project management skills.

  • Knowledge of industry best practices and trends in supply chain management.

  • Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.

Preferred:

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • APICS and/or CPSM certification or willingness to work towards same

  • An equivalent competency level acquired through a variation of these qualifications may be considered.

  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

  • Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.

  • Ability to exhibit sound and accurate judgment.

  • Knowledge and experience with cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.
