BenefitMall Operations Analyst II in Towson, Maryland
Works independently to provide business analysis support for an enterprise system that includes leading team meetings, gathering requirements, determining test cases and reporting based on test cases.
Work with internal and external clients to proactively identify, analyze and document system enhancements and re-engineering opportunities for internal systems and carrier transmissions.
Document, track, and follow-up on open client issues. Work across departments and systems (customer systems, internal systems) to research, analyze and resolve questions/issues concerning system functionality and performance.
Conduct periodic carrier meetings to gather and understand requirements, communicate status and resolve issues.
Perform root cause failure analysis to identify application defects and develop a plan for resolving.
Analyze current report generation processes and file transmission processes to develop automated solutions and reduce manual intervention.
Use SQL and other query languages to upload and/or extract data to and from database and data-warehouse tables.
Liaise with internal and external IT support to set-up connectivity and FTP access with external clients.
Liaise with internal and external IT support to investigate and troubleshoot issues related to connectivity and FTP capabilities.
Generate ad-hoc reports utilizing SQL, system databases and the data-warehouse.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a Healthcare related field required.
At least five (5) years’ experience in the health care industry required
Knowledge and understanding of health care systems.
Advanced experience documenting standard operating procedures and/or business requirements.
Experience analyzing reports and metrics and providing detailed analysis and feedback.
Ability to provide standardized and ad-hoc reports in an organized, professional format.
Experience writing SQL and utilizing it for data extraction and analysis.
