Employment Solutions Material Handler/Forklift Operator in Towanda, Pennsylvania
Employment Solutions is seeking a Material Handler/Forklift Operator to join our Towanda,PA, Client's Team. The primary responsibility of this role is to operate an industrial shredder, turning defective door skins into useable boiler fuel. The operator will also be responsible for forklift operation and assisting in daily operations in the Utilities department.
* 6 Months Assignment:*
2nd shift: 2:00PM to 10:00PM M-F - $21.10/hr
or
3rd shift: 10:00PM to 6:00AM M-F - $21.60/hr
Responsibilities:
- Manually load defective Products into an industrial shredder
- Operate a forklift as needed
- Communicate with Boiler Operator before hogging to ensure silos can handle more material
- Assist in daily operations in the Utilities department, including boiler, janitorial, fire systems, lagoon, grounds, and maintenance
- Maintain proper housekeeping at the shredder area
- Perform safety and environmental checks as outlined in procedures
- Perform quarterly E-Stop Verification on shredder equipment
Requirements:
- Ability to work rotating shifts
- Experience operating industrial machinery preferred
- Forklift operation experience required
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to perform various tasks within the Utilities department when needed
