OandG Industries, Inc., an innovative and diversified construction company based out of Torrington, CT, is seeking aHeavy Civil Lead Superintendentto join our team at our new Amtrak project in Old Saybrook.
The Amtrak project will involve building a two-track, electrified, movable (bascule) bridge structure equipped with new track, signal, catenary, power, communication, controls and security features.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor all on-site day-to-day activities
- Plan work, forecast project needs, and determine activities for various stages of the project
- Coordinate tasks of all subcontractors
- Manage material and equipment deliveries
- Provide on-site direction
- Maintain a daily log of job site operations
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of relevant experience on large railroad bridge construction projects including 5 years of recent experience working with Amtrak or other large passenger rail infrastructure projects of greater than $500 million in value
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
