Honeywell Sr Advanced Test Engineer in Torrance, California

Be part of a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex software functions within Honeywell. You will plan and accomplish goals. You will also generate innovative solutions in work situations; trying different and novel ways to deal with problems and opportunities.

The salary for this position is ($125,000 - $192,000). The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect/Design testing machinery from first principles, balancing cost, lead time, complexity, and test coverage across disciplines

  • Develop test specifications and break down requirements into a detailed execution plan while mentoring/advising junior engineers on sub-system implementation.

  • Research and specify electrical test equipment such as measurement equipment, power supplies, sensors, I/O devices, and other hardware to meet test requirements.

  • Design schematics and layout for industrial electrical control panels and review other engineers' designs.

  • Implement and validate reliable industrial safety systems (OSHA, AS9100 standards compliant) to safeguard high voltage and mechanical hazards.

  • Perform specification review.

  • Communicate non-compliance incidents.

  • Prepare or update test/failure reports and documentation.

  • Execute project tasks.

  • Identify areas for technical improvement.

  • Create Rack Panel Designs, Block Diagrams, Interconnection Diagrams & PNID

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical 2020, Familiar with Team Center Drawing Release using ECN's

  • Coordinate with Controls & Software Engineers to Create Parameter Lists

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Electrical Engineering

  • Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.

  • Must have Electrical /Electronic circuits, schematics to develop Test Equipment

  • Must have Auto CAD expertise (5+ years), be able to develop designs from concept/high level requirements and provide guidance to other team members.
