Actalent Senior Business Development Lead- Energy Service in Torrance, California

Description:

This senior business development lead role is responsible for cutting edge connected service focusing on utility program business development, Open Vehicle Grid Integration Platform business, V1G services and its enhancement and IT development. This role is responsible for researching, developing, and applying new CASE and charging solutions in the market, HondaLink/AcuraLink charging services and solutions. It is accountable for the business and technical competence of the strategies that are developed. This position is tasked to lead a unit team and daily execution of EV Charging and New Energy Business Initiatives to provide new value for customers through the use of managed EV charging (V1G), LCFS and discharging (V2G or Vehicle-to-Grid) of electric vehicles to achieve Honda’s 2030 Electrification Vision and 2050 Carbon Neutral Goal. Focusing on future charging and energy buisness, as well as regulatory compliance supporting the operation and providing new value to the Customer, the Dealer, and AHM , the associate leads and supports tasked plans, executes, and reports on all planning and business aspects of the energy business. Executing on responsibility is a mandatory requirement to adhere to AHM’s compliance requirements and manage the sustainability of the businesses. This requires frequent coordination and review of wide-ranging information, along with regular communication with external business partners providers, IT team, Product Planning, Service, Quality, Sales, Finance, Customer Experience, Law, HDMA ADD, Honda Motors, Honda Japan R&D and other pertinent business units. Developing and executing product and business strategy in a world of rapid technological and social change requires a highly capable, highly knowledgeable, and highly engaged team. CASE and Energy Business Unit is tasked with navigating the path for Honda's future Connected, Autonomous, Shared, Electric, and Energy products, services, and businesses. The team will focus on building and sustaining Honda's core brand values and enhancing brand image and competitiveness in the marketplace by innovating, incubating, selecting, developing, applying, and operating new businesses, features, products, and services with responsibility for their profitability, competitiveness, and customer satisfaction for Honda in North America. Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years of related automotive and or utility industry experience, ideally in business development, business planning and execution Experience with developing sales channels, coordination with product planning, service, quality, sales, finance, customer experience, law, and other pertinent business units Experience with creating financial models to predict product and service sales 3 years experience leading a utility program Experience with complex it project (digital sales, app, server, partner) development. Good negotiation skills, adept at translating product value to business value. Capable of drafting and reviewing complex contracts, agreements, and detailed scopes of work
