Job Description:

Provide research, evaluation, operational, reporting and / or analytical support for assigned vendor relationships and/or business units with the objective to drive operational efficiencies, savings and oversight, in alignment with business and enterprise goals. Role may also be responsible for complex analysis and reporting at the enterprise level.

CUSTOMER

  • Conduct ongoing monitoring, analysis and reporting on a Third Party's performance through the delivery of services against SLAs, SLOs, KPIs or other contractual commitments, within assigned portfolio as required

  • Monitor spend against the financial terms of a Business Arrangement

  • Use processes or tools to validate and resolve any issues and variances pertaining to invoices, and facilitate invoice settlement to avoid incurring penalties/additional costs

  • Understand and maintain knowledge of Business Arrangement terms (including key Third Party and business segment or corporate function (TD) deliverables) and scope changes that will be actively managed throughout the term. If the Business Arrangement involves licenses or other assets, create and maintain governance processes to ensure effective asset management

  • Use processes or tools to verify negotiated rates, volume thresholds against aggregated spend, and financial commitments against baseline/business case

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners, vendors and other stakeholders by providing value-added analysis, presentations, guidance and/or operational support in a timely manner

  • Act as a "go to" resource to the business segment or corporate functional by providing relevant and meaningful information/data/guidance on procedures and/or issues

  • Lead working sessions and/or facilitate meetings to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal TD partners and the vendor to ensure business requirements are met and objectives are aligned

  • Lead vendor related operational activities (e.g. report production, system queries, process mapping, specialized tracking, analysis and transactional procedural support) as assigned

SHAREHOLDER

  • Contribute to various operational activities and processes as assigned

  • Support development and/or implementation of SLAs, SLOs, KPIs or other contractual commitments to mitigate risk and maximize availability of service, efficiency and effectiveness

  • Be knowledgeable of practices and procedures relating to managing Business Arrangements through all stages of the TPML, in alignment with relevant frameworks, policies and standards

  • Identify issues and monitor trends with a Third Party in a responsive manner, to reduce risk in alignment with Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Policies and related Standards

  • Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalate issues where appropriate

  • Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high risk activities as necessary

  • Conduct internal and external research projects; support the development / delivery of presentations / communications to management or broader audience

  • May provide a range of reporting and / or meaningful analysis at the functional level using results to draw conclusions, make recommendations, assess the effectiveness of programs or practices

  • Focus on continuous improvements to facilitate entering into Third Party Business Arrangements and promote effective Third Party delivery

  • Acquire and apply expertise in the discipline, provide guidance, assistance and direction to others

  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite

  • May lead work streams by acting as a project lead / subject matter expert for small scale projects / initiatives in accordance with project management methodologies

EXPERIENCE AND / OR EDUCATION

  • Undergraduate degree

  • 3+ years of experience

ADDENDUM

  • Solid knowledge of Vendor Management, Business Arrangements, Third-Party Management Lifecycle principles, policies and procedures, systems, products/services, product research, analysis & reporting, competitive intelligence and/or regulatory requirements

  • Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends

  • Knowledge of Risk Management environment, standards and regulations

  • Strong ability to identify operational efficiencies and/or issues/gaps and develop plans/recommend solutions

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form

  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships

  • Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently

  • Strong ability to research, collect, organize, analyze complex or technical data and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
