Google Technical Program Manager II, Cloud Applications, Google Cloud Platform in Toronto, Ontario

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience in program management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

  • Experience executing product launch or go-to-market processes and launch execution.

  • Knowledge of Google Cloud or other cloud technologies.

  • Familiarity with AI/ML and differentiation of AI model building versus traditional software builds.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Cloud Applications team leads Google’s innovations in applications and services to power enterprise Artificial intelligence (AI) users. We are a multi-disciplinary team Technical Program Managers and Program Managers who collaborate closely with each other and with developers and Product Management to create innovative, and usable, products that enterprises value. The team executes and delivers on the needs of the teams in order to create amazing products and experiences.

  • Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and cross-functional groups to drive software development, and manage technical dependencies across the stack.

  • Define and execute processes for gathering, assessing and prioritizing feature requests and problems requested.

  • Define, iterate, and operationalize key metrics that will help achieve our product goals and allow the team to prioritize efforts.

  • Exercise technical and product judgment to scope programs, manage schedules, and resolve program issues.

  • Manage technical programs, drive multi-quarter roadmap, and communicate with executive stakeholders.
