Numerator Strategy Analyst (Contract) in Toronto, Ontario

The Strategy Analyst for the Canadian Commercial Strategy and Growth Enablement (CSGE) team will play a crucial role in supporting Numerator Canada’s long-term growth objectives. The team has three main responsibilities: (1) developing a strategic sales framework for the Go-to-Market team; (2) maintaining the linkages and processes across the Numerator organization to deliver the Canadian strategy; and (3) identifying opportunities and risks to Numerator Canada’s growth.
The Strategy Analyst supports these responsibilities through detailed and process-oriented work, leveraging strong analytical and organizational skills to translate complex data into simple, actionable insights. This role will involve providing recommendations aligned with the company's strategy and objectives, supporting B2B marketing initiatives, and being the Canadian point person for liaising with product, operations and engineering. The analyst will work cross-functionally and possess a deep knowledge of the Canadian CPG & Retail industry to support Numerator Canada’s strategy.
What You'll Do:
Own the Canadian Product Roadmap Process
Work with cross-functional partners to deliver milestones on time, ensuring accountability and visibility of progress.
Provide Analytic Support
Client segmentation
Financial planning for the Canadian commercial team
Thought leadership and B2B marketing initiatives
Preliminary analysis of new lines of business and/or product offerings
Track Guardrails and Sales Process Efficiency
Ensure commercial strategy aligns with product attribution capacity and that the sales pipeline follows attribution capacity.
Revenue Management Responsibilities
Assess and consult on pricing models and strategies to maximize revenue while remaining competitive in the market.
Utilize data analytics to track key performance indicators (KPIs), measure the effectiveness of revenue strategies, and identify areas for improvement.
Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of revenue-generating activities and adjust strategies as needed based on performance metrics.
Identify and assess potential risks to revenue growth initiatives and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
Develop Sales Material
Create short, “teaser” sales material by connecting industry news with Numerator’s omni-panel insights.
Deep Understanding of Numerator Solutions
Gain a thorough understanding of Numerator solutions and services, including key differentiators versus legacy approaches and competing offerings.
Process Improvement
Identify process and solutions improvement opportunities to scale the business more efficiently.
Coordination with U.S. Teams
Incorporate best practices from U.S. teams to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of the Canadian Retailer/CPG landscape
Ideally familiarity with syndicated and household panel data (Nielsen, IRI, and/or NPD)
Ideally, understanding of key market research use cases – survey or purchase analytics
Curiosity and aptitude to learn and identify creative solutions
Positive, solutions-focused demeanor and approach
Strong relationship-building skills with internal stakeholders
Strong oral, written, and presentation skills, particularly with customers or prospects
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with 1-3 years of relevant experience
Desired experience in developing business analytics and insights within the CPG/Retailer sector
Ideally, working knowledge of enterprise software applications and services designed for CPG/Retailer (e.g., Nielsen, IRI)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Ideally able to meet with the team in our Mississauga office as needed
