What You’ll Be Doing

The Senior Manager, Portfolio Strategy Optimization will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of credit card revenue and cost optimization strategies. This will include identifying opportunities, setting priorities, securing alignment with partners and executing changes to enable the flawless delivery of scalable strategic initiatives that impact performance of CIBC’s credit card business. You will work closely and collaboratively with a high performing, highly productive group of peers and partners in delivering on this mandate.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Portfolio Revenue Optimization Strategy – You will support the development of multi-year account management portfolio optimization strategies and business cases to drive sustained profitable revenue growth associated with risk, credit limit management, collections and fraud management programs and processes for existing clients. This will include assessing and prioritizing current and future requirements, communicating priorities, collaborating and gaining alignment with enterprise partners, developing comprehensive proposals, presenting recommendations to senior management and supporting implementation of programs that positively impact program, process and system performance.

  • Performance Management, Analytics & Competitive Intelligence – This role will specialize in: 1) using data to develop insights, opportunities and strategies that support the growth of our business, and 2) building modern processes that enable efficient operations within our team. This will include supporting the design, development and delivery of robust and flexible infrastructure to monitor overall health of the portfolio and conduct analysis supporting engagements across the Revenue Optimization team. You will actively detect and action emerging trends and opportunities to maintain and enhance portfolio performance, ensure efficiency, effectiveness and compliance of business processes, and support positive client experiences. You will source and develop competitive benchmarking and analytics to expose competitor strategies and trends.

  • Beacon of Knowledge – You will maintain robust and comprehensive knowledge of risk, account management and fraud policies, processes, systems and related existing/emerging regulatory and compliance requirements. You will act as a key thought leader and expert consultant supporting account management risk and fraud program revenue optimization

  • Partner Management – You will support the development and implementation of robust solutions by working in close partnership with and securing support from key enterprise partners including Risk Management, Enterprise Fraud Management, Analytics & Decision Science, Enterprise Technology, Business Controls, Finance, Legal, Compliance and other business stakeholders

Who You Are

  • You have demonstrated knowledge of financial services including experience in credit card risk management, strategy and/or equivalent.

  • You have strong data and analytics skills including working knowledge of the application and integration of advanced modeling and optimization techniques to solve business problems.
