What you'll be doing.

The Senior Manager, HR Project Management contributes to the overall success of the HR Globalization Office by leading the project management of the globalization program and ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s mandate, strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

This role will partner closely with colleagues and teams across Global Human Resources to lead the project management activities for the HR Globalization Office.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

• Drives awareness and adoption of project management disciplines and governance to ensure the successful delivery of HR Globalization projects, aligned with the enterprise project delivery framework

• Works with stakeholders and project teams to translate activities into detailed project plans that identify/track cross stream dependencies.

• Collaborates with existing HR project managers to ensure alignment and tracking of inter-dependent projects to the work with the HR globalization office, such as the HR technology implementations.

• Manages the overall transformation program and identifies and tracks the key stakeholder meetings that are necessary as inputs for the global HR organization design.

• Provides day-to-day management of key deliverables and program office milestones to deliver Steering Committee updates and ensures sign-off/approval of project milestones and deliverables

• Works closely with the HR technology team on technology deployments and timing of implementations

• Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have:

• Certification in project management (PMP) and 2+ years business experience

• Expert familiarity with Project management disciplines and tools

• Strong knowledge of the Bank, or FIs is preferred

• 2+ years running complex projects, preferably with experience in an IT environment

• Excellent organizational skills/relationship management/communicator/problem solving

• Must be proactive, self-Starter and capable of moving forward through complex situations, prioritizing

• Fluent in Spanish (verbal/written) is an asset
