Insight Global Senior Financial Analyst in Toronto, Ontario

Job Description

Insight Global is looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst for our client, one of the big five banks. You will be joining the Platforms and Technology (P&T) team which is responsible for providing financial support, monthly reporting, and strategic advice to the senior management team. You will manage full technology expenses for the line of business by developing new financial models, creating quarterly portfolio forecasts, building monthly operating result packages, and delivering an effective performance management framework.

The successful candidate will report into the Finance Manager of P&T and be expected to liaise with senior management, communicate financial results, and provide written and in-person presentations. They will also be required to make time for commentary and takeaways with business partners to address existing gaps and future risks.

Your responsibilities are structured based on month-end needs. Daily tasks include pulling general ledgers, adjusting journal entries, analyzing variances, generating financial statements, and other ad-hoc requests. As month-end closes, to plan and forecast numbers for the following month to ensure strategic decision-making.

Skills and Requirements

-University Degree (finance/accounting/economics preferred).

-CPA or CFA (completed or working towards).

-5+ years of professional experience in finance, analytics and/or accounting.

-Experience with month-end close activities such as:

   Pulling general ledgers

   Adjusting journal entries

   Analyzing variances

   Generating financial statements

-Proficiency with the following tools:

   Excel

   Powerpoint

   Hyperion SmartView

   Oracle Business Intelligence (Tableau and Alteryx) -Strong business acumen and analytical capabilities.

-Strong relationship management and advisory skills.

-Ability to identify issues and recommend actions to senior management. null
