Job Description:

Department Overview:

The Global Compliance Department is responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance across TD Bank Group (TDBG) in accordance with the Global Compliance Operating Framework. The team is accountable for promoting regulatory compliance by developing and maintaining compliance programs, including identifying and disseminating regulatory developments to businesses they support, maintaining Compliance policies, managing complaints and regulatory filings, providing relevant training, carrying out independent monitoring and oversight activities, reporting on the state of compliance to the Board, UDP and senior management, as needed, and providing advice and support, as required.

Team Overview

The Business Management & Governance team within Global Compliance provides business and financial insights, strategic planning, business management coordination, and facilitates One TD relationships across Global Compliance and Risk Management. The team plays a key role in the Global Compliance business continuity management, strategy development and implementing pan-Compliance initiatives through data insights and executive reporting.

The Role & Key Accountabilities

The Senior Business Management Analyst reports to the AVP, Business Management & Governance and will primarily coordinate the management of the Compliance recruitment strategy and onboarding processes.

The Senior Business Management Analyst will:

  • Own and manage activities related to the onboarding and management of Global Compliance resources and third-party vendors for Compliance Transformation and Road to Strong

  • Support in the management of the Compliance recruitment strategy and process

  • Develop and provide reporting on activities and outcomes aligned to the Compliance recruitment strategy.

  • Coordinate with other Compliance partners and business governance and control partners to promote consistency in the application of Compliance programs and standards across the Enterprise

  • Identify opportunities for enhancements to Compliance policies and procedures and communicate recommendations to management

  • Be knowledgeable of practices and procedures within own area of responsibility and keep abreast of emerging trends for Compliance

  • Foster relationships with internal and external contractors to resolve issues

  • Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and promote timely communication of issues/ points of interest

  • Support the Business Continuity Management plan and maintain the contact list(s) within the book of record system

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry work experience

  • University degree required

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong relationship management skills

  • Ability to work independently on projects end-to-end, generally within short-to medium term horizons and manage tight deadlines and multiple competing priorities.

  • Proficient with MS Office applications
