Senior Business Analyst, Globalization Office - Global Human Resources

The Senior HR Business Analyst contributes to the overall success of the HR Globalization Office by supporting the team with designing HR’s target operating model and creating standardized and simplified processes in how HR operates. This role will partner closely with colleagues and teams across the bank to deliver on the mandate within the HR Globalization Office and ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Contribute to the HR organization design and global transformation initiatives by:

  • Designing efficient processes and an optimal HR target operating model leveraging people, process and technology

  • Interviewing HR process owners to understand current state and develop recommendations on future state process design

  • Creating Standard Operating Procedures to be applied globally, simplifying and standardizing across the function and identifying where exceptions may need to be made in certain geographies

  • Identifying where technology enablement is necessary and recommending interim solutions to desired end state of the global HR target operating model

  • Support the quantification of efficiencies and assessing processes to articulate the impact of optimization efforts

  • Partnering with Global Human Resources, Compliance, Risk, Legal and Technology in designing and delivering process and model solutions

  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Post-secondary Degree or related Business/FI experience

  • Significant experience in HR systems or related field

  • Deep understanding in process optimization and design

  • Deep understanding and knowledge of Bank policies and procedures

  • Strong knowledge of Organizational structure and complexity

  • Attention to details and deadlines; ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Proven teamwork capabilities; strong relationship management and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Some more information you might want to know:

  • Contribute to multiple global complex projects concurrently for the HR Globalization Office

  • Support multiple stakeholders across Global Human Resources and global business lines/functions including Compliance, Risk, Legal and Technology

  • Operate in a highly matrixed environment and scope of initiatives are enterprise wide
