Insight Global Project Coordinator in Toronto, Ontario

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Project Coordinator for a top financial services company for a 6-month contract. They will be directly involved in administratively supporting the project management team by assisting with planning and executing department projects, assigned client projects, and/or line of business projects. They will be essential for ensuring projects stay on schedule by helping to create project plans and meeting minutes, monitoring projects, and following up on late tasks. This project coordinator will be responsible for resource management, managing workload balances, and aligning project dates. This individual will successfully be able to collaborate with multiple teams, including the project management teams to eliminate and manage project issues and ensure projects move forward efficiently. They will also help address any project management tool issues and coordinate with the help desk team to resolve such issues. They will work closely with project leads to manage competing project tasks and address resource management concerns, such as overlapping project due dates and suggesting solutions to resolve these overlaps. They will be responsible for navigating multiple different calendars and project timelines to ensure resources and timelines are managed accurately. They will also assist in closing off projects by providing administration support in lesson learning meetings. This role requires a quick learner who is very organized and pays attention to detail -- someone who can present themselves well while building and managing relationships with cross-functional teams. The team uses Work Front as their resource management tool, so the perfect candidate will have hands-on experience or knowledge of Work Front (or with similar resource management tools). Strong communication is key as they will be communicating and collaborating with both onshore and offshore, international teams on multiple projects.

Skills and Requirements

  • 3+ years experience as a Project Coordinator or related project management experience (junior level)

  • Experience with change management and can manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.

  • Strong interpersonal with ability to transverse with many cross functional divisions to get necessary information

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Quick learner and very organized -- ability to multi-task and can present themselves well

  • Experience with resource management

  • Ability to organize priorities based on deadlines and strong attention to detail

  • Familiarity with various project management software's and tools, including Microsoft Suite * Experience with (or similar to) Work Front for resource management

  • Experience in the financial services industry or working at an enterprise bank null
