Bio-Techne Manufacturing Technician - Cartridge Assembly in Toronto, Ontario

Position Summary:

The qualified individual will be responsible for various aspects of product assembly and testing. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to assemble and use complex instruments and assemblies. Some of the major areas of responsibility are, but not limited to the following:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visually inspect, assemble and test cartridges or sub-assemblies using approved assembly procedures.

  • Able to follow all work instructions and procedures and record all production information as required

  • Ability to use a computer to perform tests, download information or record test data.

  • Ability to work with a microscope for extended periods of time

  • Able to use and maintain hand tools and various types of equipment to assemble and test cartridges

  • Good hand eye coordination, stable hands for delicate component assembly

  • Comply with gowning protocols as required and maintain a clean, orderly and organized work area.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Attention to detail

  • Good communications skills (written and oral)

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience working with Gas Chromatography (GC) Columns or microfluidics assembly a plus

  • Experience in electronic or medical device assembly a plus
