Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis to join one of Canada's top electric utilities companies on a fulltime basis.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Financial Forecasts and Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, this position plays a key role in providing advice, analysis, and support for corporate business planning and forecasting activities. You will be immediately focused on the planning and analysis of the organization's financial sustainability, including collective bargaining negotiations; staffing and resourcing solutions; and applications to Ontario Energy Board (OEB). The chosen candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of efficient framework of financial planning models that will be used in enterprise-wide corporate planning and reporting. You will perform analyses on a wide variety of business planning data and ad-hoc requests to summarize trends, factors, and assumptions to aid in the review process of key deliverables. You will analyze and provide recommendations on confidential data to help support senior management in business decision-making and development of corporate planning opportunities and strategic direction.

Skills and Requirements

· 5+ years of progressive financial and management accounting experience

· Experience focused in corporate business and financial planning, reporting, modelling, forecasting, and analysis

· 1+ years of experience managing and supervising teams/staff

· Experience in a similar type of consultative role that provided effective financial guidance and recommendations to the business and senior leadership in implementing financial requirements

· Strong knowledge of regulatory finance, cash flow statements, and liquidity analysis in order to resolve complex financial issues

· Experience maintaining strong partnerships across business units and among a wide variety of external stakeholders (Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Finance, OEB, Financial Accountability Office of Ontario, Auditor General) and internal stakeholders and executives

· Ability to quickly understand business processes and their risk implications

· High level of proficiency with the use of technology tools such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook), including advanced knowledge and experience working with MS Excel

Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Experience working for a large to mid-size accounting / audit firm

· Experience and exposure from working in/for highly rate regulated industries such as utilities, energy, power, mining, or public sector

· Experience using large financial and integrated enterprise systems such as SAP

· Comfortable with functions of Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and Macros in MS Excel null
