  • Managing high-speed Dell and HPE networks.

  • Authoring technical documentation, ensuring documentation is kept up-to-date and accessible to the team.

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, working alongside vendors when necessary.

Here's What You'll Need:

  • Familiarity with network protocols (e.g., NFS, SMB, DNS, DHCP) and an understanding of basic networking principles.

  • Experience in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible) to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative in managing tasks to completion.

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a technical team.

  • Demonstrate commitment and actions in advancing equity, diversity and inclusion objectives

Assets

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like OpenStack, AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Experience with HPC workload management systems, such as Slurm, and understanding of job scheduling and resource allocation.

  • Basic knowledge of distributed storage systems (e.g., PowerScale, Ceph, GlusterFS).

  • Familiarity with containerization, and virtualization technologies (Proxmox, KVM, Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Exposure to monitoring systems like Grafana, or Nagios.

Employment Type:

  • 35 hours/week

  • 1.0 FTE - Full-time Contract with modified benefits (health and dental included).

  • Possibility to renew contract based on performance and business needs

  • Hybrid work model

  • On-site location: Peter Gilgan Centre for Research and Learning, 686 Bay St.
