Amazon Field Marketing and Events Marketing Manager, AWS Marketing - Canada in Toronto, Ontario

Amazon Web Services is seeking a talented field marketer to help execute its field marketing strategy for Canada. This is a unique opportunity to make your mark on a fast-growing business in the exciting and dynamic cloud and SaaS marketplace.

The Field Marketing Manager, Canada will partner with fellow marketers and sales at AWS to not only grow the business but also uncover opportunities to reshape the way companies use and benefit from AWS services and offerings. As part of this job, you will gather market and customer insights and use this data to execute on the marketing strategy for Canadian prospects and customers. You will prioritize areas of focus and resources to achieve maximum impact, build multi-channel marketing plans, and use a data driven approach to decision making. You will also collaborate with other teams and agencies as needed. The right candidate will have a results-driven approach to marketing and a scrappy, entrepreneurial spirit.

Key job responsibilities

• Partner with marketing and sales leaders to help develop and execute a differentiated marketing strategy and plan for AWS

• Lead the cross-functional management of cross-segment and cross-vertical programs, including event marketing, digital initiatives, and campaign execution. Collaborate closely with program leads to ensure alignment with business priorities, stakeholder expectations, and budgetary constraints.

• Design, build, and execute customer events that align with business goals and elevate the AWS brand. You will manage end-to-end event logistics, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional attendee experiences

• Compile, analyze, and synthesize performance metrics for events and marketing campaigns. Develop dashboards and reports to measure campaign effectiveness, providing actionable insights to enhance overall performance

• Drive operational best practices within the marketing team, ensuring data quality, campaign hierarchy alignment, and efficient use of marketing tools

• Oversee project management for large-scale initiatives, maintaining organization and communication across complex workflows.

• Continuously seek out new trends, technologies, and best practices in event management. Implement data segmentation and targeting strategies to personalize campaigns and improve their effectiveness.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion

  • 6+ years experience in event marketing, digital initiatives, and campaigns.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs

  • Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation
