What You’ll Be Doing
As the Executive Director, Application Support & Vendor Governance, you will report to the VP, Operational Support & Data Governance and lead several cross functional teams that support Vendor Governance Activities for Wealth Management. In addition, you will be supporting Key Technology Platforms such as Salesforce, Croesus, W360, MyClient, FIS, Price Metrix etc. In this role you are responsible for providing direction on the Technology Roadmap, strategy for Wealth Applications and you will work closely with the Wealth Leadership team and internal partners looking ahead at industry technology trends. You will also be ensuring that all applications are working effectively for advisors and clients.

How You'll Succeed
Program Management and Program Financial Expertise – You have delivery experience in large, enterprise-wide transformational initiatives and knowledge of and experience with tools and techniques for planning, organizing and monitoring technology projects.
People Leadership - Create a positive work environment and be an effective role model by championing CIBC’s mission, vision and values. Assign work and manage performance by setting clear expectations and by providing fair and accurate formal and informal feedback. Identify obstacles that hinder performance and coach to performance expectations. Proactively work to attract new talent and build strong talent pipeline.
Results Driven Leadership - Develop and manage relationships with all relevant CIBC partner groups such as Personal & Small Business Banking, Private Wealth Management, Wealth Management, Internal and external technology support teams. Work with stakeholders to develop strategic roadmaps for business technology and applications. Ensure effective management of Operating Expenses and project funding.
Stakeholder Management – Previous experience establishing and maintaining stakeholder and sponsor relationships across Business and Technology. Contact with and demonstrated ability to influence executives and management within CIBC. Take initiative on the preparation of clear, concise and compelling executive presentations.
Creative Problem Solving – Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity, understand business context quickly and connect the dots. Be comfortable operating at a strategic level and also driving into detail as needed, and back. Continuous improvement is part of your DNA.
Who You Are
You're digitally savvy. You have knowledge of systems and solutions such as Salesforce, Broadridge, FIS as well as a Portfolio Management Tool such as Croesus and/or W360.
You can demonstrate knowledge of the Wealth Management industry with solid experience as a senior and strategic leader within a large organization and have worked across several channels and segments.
You embrace and advocate for change. You create improvements, efficiencies and differentiation in an organization’s market position . You take ownership of decisions and actions, keep key executives and stakeholders informed of critical issues and remain steady in the pursuit of corporate goals and objectives.
