Insight Global Data Architect in Toronto, Ontario

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Data Architect for a learning and solutions group. This organization has a product that they sell to many financial institutions that requires data to be shared across their organizations. Currently the data is clustered and cannot be shared effectively with any clients. We are seeking a data architect to come evaluate their current data infrastructure: Understand current data infrastructure, including the types of data you collect, how it's stored, and how it's used. Define your reporting and integration requirements: Identify the specific reporting and integration requirements of the organization and prioritize them based on importance and urgency. Implement data governance: Establish a data governance framework that includes clear policies, processes, and roles and responsibilities for data management. Normalize and standardize data: Ensure that all data is stored in a consistent and standardized format to make it easier to integrate and report on. Implement data quality controls: Implement data quality controls to ensure that your data is accurate, complete, and free of errors. Invest in data management tools: Invest in data management tools such as data warehouses, data lakes, or business intelligence tools to improve data storage, integration, and reporting capabilities. Consider cloud-based solutions: Consider moving to a cloud-based solution for data storage, processing, and analysis to take advantage of the scalability and flexibility of cloud computing. Continuously monitor and improve: Regularly monitor and assess the effectiveness of the data management practices and continuously make improvements where necessary.

Skills and Requirements

  • Experience with MS Fabric

* Strong experience with data cleansing, manipulating, and transmitting data with APIs

* Strong experience creating ETL pipelines

* Experience with the cloud and creating cloud solutions within AWS and Azure

* Help set the foundation (good practices) for that new data storage solution.

o Object naming convention

o Table Structure. (Star schema or not. Data Track change or not)

o Data Validation

o Data Governance

* Strong communication and able to articulate their ideas and roadmap to leadership * Okta experience, or a good foundation of security experience and creating unique ID's, logins

* Experience with technologies such as Pentaho ETL, Qlik or Tableau, or Dremio null
