What you’ll be doing

The Consultant, Enterprise Communications, is responsible for providing internal communications consultation for initiatives focused on event management, brand, and client experience communications, providing support to senior team members working towards developing and implementing corporate communication strategies aligned to CIBC business strategy. The Consultant works directly with C&PA team members as well as with business partners to develop general and specific internal communications, intranet and internet content, presentations, speeches, and other related communications activities.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll succeed

  • Communication consultation to address strategies in support of key enterprise communications initiatives

  • Support developing presentations for various audiences and channels, using different tools and methods

  • Coordination and execution of various enterprise-wide events (virtual and in-person), including implementing event planning efficiencies and best practices

  • Provide direction and advice to internal clients on appropriate messaging, communication vehicle, target audience, timing of announcements, distribution, etc.

  • Editing/writing direction and support to senior management and other communications team members

  • Formulate communications research and audits to help support with the measurement of programs and initiatives on an on-going basis

  • Support creation of templates, resources, and tools to help C&PA align their communications with the bank’s strategy and purpose

  • You can demonstrate experience in a corporate communications environment.

  • You have a degree/diploma in Journalism/Communications or comparable or equivalent experience.

  • You can demonstrate experience in developed communications writing and presentation skills.
