Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a business analyst to join a top bank in downtown Toronto for a 6-month contract with possibilities for extension or conversion. This role sits within the Enterprise Risk Management department. The BA will be essential to safeguarding data within Counterparty Credit Risk pipelines and ensuring that data is flowing upstream to downstream correctly. The BA will also be responsible for business-as-usual (BAU) tasks such as reports, calculations, data reconciliation, and improving efficiency. Cross-collaboration is required for the role with other members in risk and technology. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with Python, Excel, and SQL. Experience in an Agile environment and with Jira are also a plus for the role. The right candidate will have financial knowledge from previous work experience or education. They will be passionate about growing their career in a financial institution, be determined, and organized, and have a problem-solver mindset.

Skills and Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with Python.

• Hands-on experience with Excel and SQL.

• Financial product knowledge (Ex/ capital market products, derivatives, stocks, bonds, accounting).

• University degree in a related field (i.e., mathematics, quantitative studies, computer science, computer engineering, statistics, data). - Experience in an Agile environment.

• Experience with Jira.

• Knowledge of risk management (Ex/ counterparty credit risk/CCR, market risk, FRTB).

• Financial institution experience. null
