Roles and responsibilities :
Oversees group health and welfare benefits plan day to day administration as defined in employee booklets and amended from time to time, according to standards and procedures as documented. Ensure eligibility rules are appropriately applied.
Professionally communicates with internal partners and benefits vendors as required to ensure plan member records are accurately maintained. Support the Human Resources Team with member inquiries relating to the benefit programs offered.
Regularly conducts data audits, reviews the data discrepancies and errors in Workday and data integration files. Works with all stakeholders to make the appropriate updates.
Leads the administrative work for the annual Canada and US open enrollment events.
Update and configure Workday system with benefits plan changes and renewal premium rates.
Develops employee communications materials related to the benefits program. Prepare reports as requested to support activities such as mass mailings.
Maintain benefits sections in booklets, on the intranet portal and in the Workday system. Responsible for documenting all administrative procedures.
Monitors and coordinates with the appropriate stakeholders regarding all non-occupational disability cases.
Other projects as assigned.
The preferred candidate will possess:
A Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in HR or related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience of benefits administration in Canada and the US.
Advanced skills with Workday HRIS system and the benefits module.
Has strong analytical and technical abilities. Strong ability to identify issues and solve problems.
Must be comfortable using various software to manipulate data and manage file feeds as required.
Knowledgeable in handling configuration, reporting, maintenance, and Workday Integration Cloud platform
Excellent understanding of HR processes and data is crucial
Must possess excellent customer service skills, be team-oriented and cooperative with co-workers, consultants and departments
Strong computer skills –intermediate to advanced proficiency in standard desktop applications (particularly Word and Excel)
Demonstrated talent for detail, highly motivated
Strong organizational skills and able to meet deadlines
Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision in a high-paced environment
