The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and creative Director, Sales to join our team at Nutanix. In this role you will report directly to the VP of Sales, North Enterprise, and will be responsible for leading a team of highly-skilled, seasoned Enterprise Account Managers focused on enterprise accounts throughout Canada Enterprise Region.

We are looking for a sales leader who has experience managing experienced sales teams and is adept at building solid repeatable business propositions, particularly in a digital and cloud-focused environment. A consistent record of successful and smart management in this meaningful and changing business environment is crucial.

About the Team

As the Director, Sales of "Canada Enterprise" at Nutanix, you will lead a team of 8 Enterprise Account Managers across the Enterprise Canada Region. You will report to the Vice President of Sales, Enterprise North, who provides strong leadership and support for your team's success. The position is remote and travel is approximately 50% within the territory engaging with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders effectively.

Your Role

  • Own the regional sales number, revenue targets and sales projections

  • Report to the VP of Sales, Enterprise North and be responsible for building and developing your team

  • Work closely with new as well as established channel partners to generate new business opportunities

  • Partner with the marketing team to ensure an effective marketing strategy and a channel team on channel strategy

  • Ensure timely and accurate revenue, customer and management reports using in-house systems, evangelizing the use of SFDC for forecasting requirements and prospect tracking

  • Lead, mentor and ramp all Account Managers on the team as well as partner with System Engineering Team

  • Work closely with System Engineers, Inside Reps, Field Marketing, Professional Services, and Channel Management to ensure target quotas are achieved and exceeded

  • Travel up to 50%

What You Will Bring

  • 5+ years of high-level management experience of 7 or more direct reports in a fast-paced, high-reaching, ever-changing sales environment

  • Extensive rolodex, with validated experience in interviewing, hiring, and building out high performance sales teams

  • Minimum of 7 years in quota carrying sales role with demonstrated achievement

  • Confirmed ability to work effectively with and across all levels of business and IT contacts within very large and complex organizations

  • Extensive experience negotiating large 7-figure deals with extremely complex terms, conditions, price pressures and considerations

  • A self-starter who takes initiative, works with limited direction, and has experience with companies pursuing and undergoing rapid growth

  • Highly trusted individual who maintains and expects high standards for self and team

  • BA/BS degree or higher

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 333,360 and USD $ 500,040 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
