Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment Coordinator

Location: 1010 SW Tyler St, Topeka, KS 66612

This position will take part in Elevance Health's hybrid workforce strategy which includes virtual work and 1-2 days physically in office per week .

Our ideal candidate will live within a reasonable proximity to our Elevance Health major office (PulsePoint) located in Topeka, KS or Olathe, KS. Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model with PulsePoint sites used for collaboration, community, and connection.

The Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment Coordinator is responsible for all KAN Be Healthy services and related issues, including but not limited to, all KAN Be Healthy activities and EPSDT screening events. Serving as a liaison with and overseeing the quality improvement activities, projects, and programs.

How You Will Make an Impact

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Interfaces and coordinates with the foster care coordinator, director of Care Coordination, oral health director, the Member advocates, and other internal staff to ensure the delivery of all preventive screenings and to ensure delivery of appropriate treatment and follow up based on identified diagnoses.

  • Leads state level quality strategy meetings for the KAN Be Healthy population, develops a quality plan, and ensures integration of quality into the overall strategy for the KAN Be Healthy population.

  • Works with the clinical intervention team to design studies to identify barriers to medical interventions.

  • Oversees EPSDT reporting requirements and data analysis to drive strategy.

  • Develops performance improvement plans and oversees the clinical quality improvement activities/projects to improve the quality of care for members.

  • Assures compliance with all contract EPSDT requirements and deliverables

  • Assures that all QI activities are relevant to the needs of the KAN Be Healthy population.

  • Provides oversight to ensure accurate and complete quantitative analysis of clinical data and presentation of data analysis results.

  • Develops and leads implementation strategies based on data analysis to optimize clinical interventions and improve EPSDT and HEDIS rates with a focus on well child and immunizations.

  • Oversees the implementation of new initiatives.

  • Leads interactions with regulators or oversight entities.

  • Works collaboratively with other departments and senior leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BS in health administration, nursing, or a related clinical field; 4 years of health care quality or data analysis experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, & Experiences:

  • Current unrestricted license, certification in applicable field (i.e. CPHQ) and/or a MS in the health field (i.e. Nursing) is preferred.

  • Managed Care Experience.

  • Experience with data analysis.

  • Strong Excel Skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
