Job Title: Stationary Engineer
Job Description
A stationary engineer operates, maintains, and repairs mechanical and electrical systems in a facility to ensure they are safe, efficient, and functioning properly. This role involves the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment such as boilers, pumps, compressors, and air conditioning systems. The engineer will also monitor equipment operation, keep records, and ensure safety standards are met.
Responsibilities
Start up, regulate, and shut down equipment, including boilers, pumps, compressors, and air conditioning systems.
Perform routine maintenance, such as lubricating moving parts, replacing filters, and removing corrosion.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment, including defective valves, gaskets, and bearings.
Monitor equipment operation using meters, gauges, and computerized controls.
Keep records of equipment operation, including gauge readings and water laboratory analysis readings.
Ensure equipment is safe to operate, including fire prevention equipment and water storage systems.
Lead and train less personnel, including apprentices.
Essential Skills
Experience in boiler operation and HVAC systems.
Facilities maintenance and stationary engineering skills.
Knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
Ability to perform equipment repair and troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a stationary engineer.

Stationary engineers typically work in boiler rooms and mechanical rooms in various settings, including hospitals, large office buildings, and sewage plants. This role is based in our new facility located in Tonganoxie, KS.
