Job Overview:
The Equipment Tech supports and assists in daily department business and operations.
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma
BLS through the American Heart Association
Successful completion of all orientations and competencies
Scheduling Requirements:
Day Shift
Per diem scheduling
Weekend availability
7am-3:30pm
Essential Functions:
Check liquid Oxygen Level Daily
Deliver portable 02 cylinders
Enter and Track all department expenses in Spreadsheet.
Maintain hospital inventory of medical gases.
02 Analyzer Calibration> 21%> 100%
Order and stock all non-stock items, Maintain Inventory
Check Pulse Oximeter's
Enter and Track all department charges in Spreadsheet
Participate in Equipment Recall process
Assist in all RT equipment PM records.
Monitor Bulk Nitrous Oxide and Nitrogen system.
Set up and Dress Adult Ventilators, BiPAP and other equipment
Stock ABG Supplies in ER,ICU, and Treatment room.
Assists with daily tasks as Required
Assist Department leadership in review of new supply items (prices, availability* etc.).
Completes weekly inventory of all supply usage by department
Coordinates quarterly inspection of wall oxygen and vacuum outlets to ensure proper pressure, function and accuracy and maintains documents of same.
Participates in plans for repairs, construction projects and equipment installation
Ensures that essential equipment and supplies are received as ordered.
Ensures that preventive maintenance checks are current and maintains documentation of same.
Maintains accurate inventory of all gas cylinders used and documentation of same. Maintains department in orderly and clean condition.
Maintains records of department purchases and places purchase orders
Maintains, set-up , and ensures all respiratory equipment functional and ready to use.
