Description We are in search of a Controller to join our team in Tolleson, Arizona. In this role, you will be directing the financial activities of the business, ensuring compliance with established procedures and practices, and providing leadership to the accounting staff. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate records and processing financial transactions efficiently.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the financial activities of the business, establishing and maintaining fiscal procedures and controls.
• Analyze performance and recommend or direct actions needed to maximize the financial return of the business.
• Ensure the business is conducted in compliance with established procedures and practices.
• Manage the preparation and analysis of the annual strategic plan, capital plan, monthly operating results, trends, capital projects, and operating forecasts.
• Accountable for ensuring accurate books and records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities and reports.
• Lead the finance staff on a day-to-day basis, including financial transactions, analytical work, and team member development.
• Utilize tools such as Crystal Reports, SAP, and Accounting Functions to process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate customer credit records including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Conduct Auditing and Budget Processes to ensure financial stability and compliance.
• Use Manufacturing Cost Accounting skills to manage financial/accounting department in a manufacturing-related environment. Requirements
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role or similar
• Strong understanding of accounting functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with auditing procedures and practices
• Knowledge of budgeting processes and financial forecasting
• Proficiency in SAP software
• Experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
