ProMedica Health System Support Coordinator - Radiology Administration - Full Time - Days in Toledo, Ohio

Greets and directs patients, visitors, and physicians; performs related clerical duties in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging. Performs data input and distributes orders.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Greets and assists all patients, visitors, and physicians. Answers telephone calls, screens and takes messages, telephones physicians to relay reports to physicians and appropriate staff members. Enters radiology orders into computer systems (RIS, PACS EPIC, etc.). Coordinates the proper flow of information between radiology and appropriate areas. Assists registration/scheduling with any quick registration/scheduling needs when appropriate. Will be required to take additional Epic course for registration or scheduling. Assists patients, physicians and healthcare facilities with reports or CD requests. Uploads images from outside media to PACS. Perform telerads sends between ProMedica and other facilities. Demonstrates competency in use of computers for data entry and retrieval (RIS, PACS, EPIC). Assists technologists with related duties. Demonstrates awareness of safety standards for self and assigned area. Maintains confidentiality of all patient data with HIPAA guidelines. Follows organizations, mission and values of customer service. Demonstrates the ability to address quality issues and customers' satisfaction by using care, courtesy and cooperation. Performs other related duties/tasks as assigned.
Education: High school diploma or the equivalent. Skills: Requires the ability to coordinate and assimilate large amounts of patient data in a confidential manner. Must be able to cope with stressful situations and handle deadlines in a demanding, fast-paced medical environment. Must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquiries; requires effective interpersonal skills. Must be able to move about the facility and between workstations and to handle stooping, standing, walking, and lifting as required by the position. Must be competent in use of facility communication systems and equipment (e.g., phones and fax machines). Must be able to input and retrieve information from computer systems. Must be able to remain stationary for extended periods of time and tolerate use of computer for extended periods of time. Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
