Sun Chemical Corporation Production Artist in Toledo, Ohio
JOB TITLE: ProductionArtist LOCATION: Remote Shift: 1st shift position (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) with some flexability POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The Graphic Production Artist is responsible for creating production-ready digital artwork. This role supports the design team by preparing customer art and reproducing customer samples to create flexographic plate ready separations within the guidelines of printer specifications. A working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software and Mac OS X operation is required to perform these tasks. The Graphic Artist will work with the design supervisor, fellow artists, Customer Service and Production to complete orders accurately and in a timely manner. While this position is remote, travel to either a Ohio or California Sun Chemical location will be required for training purposes. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Complete customer's orders according to design and print standards with an understanding of customer expectations, production requirements and printer specifications Ensure that all QC processes and customer specifications are followed with integrity for all jobs completed Works closely and communicates with Customer Service and Production to meet customer requirements Advance job knowledge through mentoring, training and educational opportunities. Train in efficient and low-risk methods of digital manipulation personalized to own strengths and ability Other duties as assigned REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Associates Degree or equivalent experience (High school Diploma required); The ability to troubleshoot basic computer issues Relevant classwork or internships with experience in vector graphics or Adobe software preferred Proficiency with MS Office: Word, Power Point Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop, Zoho CRM, Esko Software: Automation Engine, Pilot, Plato, PackProof, Layout Proficiency in both oral and written communication skills Must demonstrate tact in stressful and difficult situations Excellent listening and comprehension skills Ability to analyze and interpret, solve problems, and perform basic math equations and utilize spreadsheets/formulas Creative thinker with ability to visualize concept from beginning to end Must be committed to a high degree of detail All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, creed, national origin, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identify, marital or veteran status, disability, or any other status protected by applicable law.
