Responsibilities Provides a level of detailed communication across the continuum of care involving patients, families, staff and school community. Engages in the highest level of safety, injury prevention, and emergency procedures, including a high level of care associated with triage, assessment, diagnosis, and referral of sports medicine related healthcare concerns. Designs, implements, and monitors age-appropriate injury prevention and performance enhancement programs for sports medicine clientele, schools, interscholastic teams and community youth organizations. Communicates with children on a level that they'll understand with instruction, cueing and error correction. Manages transition of student-athlete rehabilitation to performance training with sports medicine staff. Coordinates, maintains, and staffs weight room or performance facilities, identifies and purchases equipment, and schedules training for various athletic programs. Collaborates, with treating physical therapist to expand treatment and interventional options for complicated orthopedic pathology. Qualifications Education requirement: Bachelor's degree in athletic training or closely related field, requiredMaster's degree, preferred Licensure Requirement: Licensed as an Athletic Trainer in the State of Ohio Certifications: BOC Certification, required CPR Certification, required National Strength & Conditioning and/or Americal College of Sports Medicine certification, preferred.
