Aerotek Laborer in Toledo, Ohio

1st Shift Laborer

Responsibilities

  • Use hand tools and equipment to perform cleaning tasks on machinery and work areas.

  • Utilize shovels, scrapers, power washing equipment, hoses, etc.

  • Clean ash from products and shovel into buckets.

  • Clean oil, spills, and other contaminants from areas around machinery.

  • Perform overall cleaning of entire machine during shutdowns.

  • Repetitively lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, or crawl.

  • Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.

  • Climb ladders attached to machinery or stairs.

  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, including double hearing protection, fire-resistant coveralls, eye protection, and hard hats.

  • Clean up grease, oil, ash, and lime at the manufacturing site.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or construction environments.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.

Work Environment

You will work as a third-party contractor at a steel mill in Delta, OH. The environment is hot, dirty, loud, and dusty, with oily conditions. Contractors will work a standard 40-hour week with shifts starting at 6:30 am, and overtime may be required. Appropriate PPE including steel-toe boots, eye protection, hard hats, and fire-resistant coveralls must be worn at all times. Be prepared for an intense and demanding work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delta, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00/hr.
