ProMedica Health System Intern - Marketing Communications - Full Time - Days in Toledo, Ohio

Basic Purpose

To provide video production support to ProMedica TV content and our business units and divisions across ProMedica for ongoing video communication needs. Including videotaping and editing system education and special purpose videos. Supporting video production coordinator, video team, as well as digital and creative efforts within Marcom.

Primary Duties

Produce videos to support strategic objectives and initiatives, system-wide programs and services, marketing/advertising, and digital/interactive efforts; includes basic script writing support and concept development. Work with the editorial team and producers to develop programming playlist and manage the presentation content through our Bright Sign Author software. Provide direction for and coordination of video streaming of events and video production for the ProMedica online video library (YouTube channel). Provide pre- and post-production client consultation. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance internal video production services, digital/interactive, and marketing/advertising/PR. Work with digital/interactive team to maintain current video programming library as required for digital message boards, ProMedica’s intranet and other PHS web sites including ProMedica TV (our you tube channel and eScapes television network). Support media relations team in developing pre-packaged stories that can be submitted to media outlets. Inventory and maintains video and computer equipment assets. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • BA/BS in video production, broadcasting, or related area.

  • Junior/Senior level students preferred.

  • some directly related experience. Background with advertising agency, television news, and/or hospital or health care experience is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge and experience in editing and production and a sense of artistic creativity and storytelling.

  • Must be proficient with Final Cut Pro 10 and/or Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects and/or Apple Motion, Adobe Photoshop.

  • Must have operating proficiency and expertise with various camera makes/models (Canon/JVC/etc), various lighting requirements and techniques

  • Understand basic principles of shooting (space, sound, lighting, primary subject(s), distance, framing, etc). As well as principles of editing frames, audio/sound, color correction, etc).

  • Must be able to work under deadlines, coordinate multiple projects, communicate and respond to inquiries and work within assigned budgets.

  • Must be proficient in the operation of Mac OS with strong knowledge of Microsoft platforms.

  • Must have communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently; directing and videotaping employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Must be mobile with the able to frequently move, lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Responsible for seeing assigned events through to their logical conclusion, which may require schedule flexibility to accommodate evening and weekend work on occasion.
