Insulation Sales Development Program (2025) Location(s): Toledo, OH, US, 43659-0001 Function: Sales Audience: College - Development Programs Work Arrangement: On Site Requisition ID: 63206 PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Owens Corning Insulation Sales Development Program (SDP) is designed to recruit outstanding sales talent and provide a structured 18-24 month development opportunity in the Technical Insulation business units. Throughout the program, SDPs are coached and mentored by sales leadership. Upon successful completion of the program, SDPs are placed in a sales or technical sales position (based on education, preference, and business need). By networking with senior sales leaders and gaining experience in achieving sales plan targets, SDPs will be able to drive Owens Corning's bright future. This program facilitates the development of competencies through challenging experiences with a defined training curriculum that builds knowledge in Customer Operations, Sales Execution, Territory Management, Pricing Strategies and Product Expertise. Reports to: Sales Operations Leader JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain, develop and create customer relationships Build/maintain relationships with owned or shared accounts while building trust through exceptional and reliable service Demonstrate a sense of urgency with customer requests Educate customers on products & services B2B and professional cold calling to contractors, distributors and sheet metal shops Maintaining customer contact list and market intelligence data Achieve downstream selling and conversions Target and convert contractors, distributors and downstream customers Use product knowledge to convert distribution sales Aid in creating marketing programs for field and customer promotions Know our customers Seeks to understand customer dynamics Takes appropriate action to meet customer needs and concerns Develops a partnering relationship with team members, customers and influencers Recognizes opportunities and creates win/win solutions to drive sales plan goals Attend customer/industry events and/or shows Market and customer analysis Provide customer pricing/job quotes (Price Deviation creation & follow through) Analyze market pricing and competitive scenarios Utilize sales reporting tools to identify customer opportunities and track performance Identify leads/tracks jobs through use of sales tools Participate in business initiatives, projects & Kaizens Gather & communicate competitive market intelligence Know our products Takes initiative to understand Owens Corning product offerings Identifies and communicates competitive threats Ability to communicate and sell value through differentiation Demonstrates a knowledge of the building materials industry that can be leveraged across business units JOB REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in business, engineering, or a related field Demonstrated ability to drive results in prior experiences (work or school related) Must be willing to relocate EXPERIENCE: Prior sales experience preferred but not required Previous experience in a business-to-business environment preferred but not required KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Microsoft Office applications Self-motivated individual Works well in a team environment Competitive drive Creative thinking Strong negotiation skills Time management skills Analytical Excellent comm
