Actalent Electrical EPLAN Engineer (Remote With Travel) in Toledo, Ohio
EPLAN Design Engineer - Toledo, OH - Remote
We are looking for Electrical Engineers with strong EPLAN experience to support a variety of products within an industrial setting. Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree and be willing to travel up to 20% per year.
Job Responsibilities:
Planning and creation of electrical circuit diagrams, parts lists in EPLAN- preferably P8 and EPlan
Work directly with customers throughout all project stages
Manage multiple electrical engineering client projects simultaneously
Assist clients with power studies, utility company coordination, medium voltage substation design, and electrical equipment/system specifications
Develop contractor installation/construction packages, including conduit/cable tray installation drawings, equipment location plans/elevations, and specifications
Create electrical schematics, including low-voltage power distribution, PLC I/O drawings, and 480V motor 1-line & 3-line schematics
Coordinate with electrical contractors onsite to oversee construction and address technical questions
Travel to customer sites approximately 20% of the year for installations (rarely includes international travel)
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
6+ years of related professional experience
Practical experience in working with EPLAN P8
Engineering experience in heavy industrial or manufacturing environments (e.g., glass, steel, graphite industries)
Experience with industrial power systems (e.g., glass furnace electric boosting systems, electric furnaces & ovens, load tap changers, SCR controls)
Plus:
- Experience in power studies, medium voltage substation design, and electrical equipment/system specifications
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00
