IBM System Product Services Specialist in Tokyo, Japan
Introduction
We are looking for a Product Service Specialist to expand our hardware maintenance business.
We are a global IT vendor and our Technology Lifecycle Services (TLS) division is responsible for the stable operation of our customers' large scale IT systems.
We are looking for people who can provide maintenance services for the systems of leading Japanese companies, focusing on hardware products.
As a group of IT professionals with high-level knowledge and skills in hardware, software, IoT, 5G, AI, data analysis, cloud computing and other latest technologies, we contribute to the operation and maintenance of our customers' IT infrastructure, preventing failures and solving problems. In the future, we plan to expand our expertise in the field of technology.
In the future, you may become a specialist in a technical field, a project manager who manages projects of various sizes, or an architect or IT consultant who is responsible for the overall design of a client's system.
Your Role and Responsibilities
We are stationed at the customer's data center and perform hardware maintenance services for mainframes, storage, network systems, etc. We also receive inquiries from customers and conduct appropriate investigations and responses, and handle complaints.
In addition, upon receiving inquiries from customers, you will be asked to conduct appropriate investigations, provide answers, and respond to complaints.
There will be shift work including weekends and late nights.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Knowledge of hardware and networking
Hardware maintenance skills for high-end systems
Knowledge of hardware and network is a must
At least 3 years of system hardware maintenance service experience
Experience and skills in handling hardware problems.
Experience and skills in problem isolation, recovery method study, and implementation when problems occur.
Communication skills (when asked by customers, appropriate investigation and response, handling complaints, etc.)
Ability to work full time in Japan
Fluent Japanese language skills for business purposes
Ability to work in English or willingness to learn English
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experienced in hardware maintenance of large scale IT systems
Experience in designing and building large scale IT systems
CISCO and network product maintenance experience or CCNA/CCNP certification
Japanese-N1 Native Level
English - TOEIC 600 or above and English communication skills
Experience in managing the quality of maintenance of large scale IT systems.
