Amazon has exciting opportunities for leaders in Operations Management within our rapidly expanding Sub Same Day (SSD) network in Japan. Our dynamic environment offers candidates significant challenges in front-line management and driving scalable, continuous improvements across our fulfillment centers, supply chain, and last-mile delivery teams.
【Role Summary】
This role presents a unique opportunity to drive Amazon's ambitious goals for expanding our SSD operations in Japan through innovation across multiple pillars. The successful candidate will lead programs, partnerships, innovations, and features to sustainably scale up our Sub Same Day delivery capabilities, ensuring best-in-class speed and customer experience. You will drive robust mechanisms and processes both within our SSD sites (UTR - Under the Roof) and across our delivery network (OTR - On the Road) to create positive impact on Amazon's SSD offerings in Japan.
You will partner closely with multiple functional teams and stakeholder groups, including Supply Chain, Field execution, Tech teams, Transportation Network Planning, Middle Mile teams, Retail Delivery Experience, and Customer Service. The ability to influence without authority and execute with speed will be critical to success in this role.
The ideal candidate should possess:
• A successful track record of managing complex programs and projects in logistics or related fields
• Strong analytical and business acumen

Key job responsibilities
• Develop and execute SSD Ops Integration strategies, set priorities, and communicate effectively across business partners and stakeholders
• Ideate, define, and drive the execution of integration initiatives for Amazon's SSD network by partnering with stakeholder groups to offer best-in-class delivery speed and customer experience
• Translate customer needs and voice of the customer into a logical sequence, mapping our roadmap and program initiatives to measurable business value
• Work with operations, supply chain, product, legal and compliance, finance, tech, and delivery experience teams to prioritize and implement program and tech interventions
• Conduct analysis of SSD delivery quality and productivity data pre- and post-launches, driving simplification of complex logistics operations
• Collaborate with Retail and Supply Chain organizations to understand and measure the impact of integration efforts on overall SSD offerings
• Partner with teams across various regions and geographies to understand and implement best practices for SSD Ops in Japan
• Conduct pilot projects to gather learnings and implement the most feasible, cost-effective, and scalable solutions for SSD integration requirements
• Identify cost-saving opportunities across all stages of the SSD delivery process, working across stakeholder functions to execute initiatives at scale
• Collaborate with business analytics and customer delivery experience teams to standardize reports and reviews, develop strong mechanisms, and manage quantitative and qualitative performance metrics
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Business level of English
Preferred Qualifications
Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
Business level of Japanese
Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives
Excited about working in a diverse group and contributing to an inclusive culture
Proven track record in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives
Proven track record in working with multiple stakeholders for a project/program
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
