Amazon Sr. Product Manager, JP Seller Services in Tokyo, Japan

Description

Amazon.co.jp is looking for a self-motivated and experienced product manager to join the Seller Services division. This person will dive very deep into data, analyze lifecycle of Amazon’s Selection, and draw actionable insights to expand the Selection that our customers want the most. The position is based in Tokyo, but will interact with global teams in Seattle, Europe, India and other regions.

This person plays a key role in driving the business. The person is making decisions for business, sales strategies, marketing strategies, and working closely with a team consisting of Account Managers, Marketing Managers, Product Managers, Business Intelligence Engineers, and Data Scientists.

You will have the opportunity to work with various teams and executive management to drive Seller business. To achieve this, you need a strong passion for developing insights, and you must be able to articulate how data should be used in decision making. This requires excellent business acumen and communication skills as well as the ability to work with business leaders to develop and define key business questions.

Key job responsibilities

  • Product Vision and Roadmap: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap. Define product strategy and align it with business goals.

  • Customer Focus: Advocate for the customer, ensuring products meet customer needs and deliver exceptional user experiences.

  • Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize data and analytics to inform product decisions. Establish and measure key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, finance, and other teams to drive product development from concept to launch.

  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with business objectives. Gain support for your strategy and roadmap from stakeholders by writing narratives and influencing peers and senior leadership

  • Execution and Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from initial concept through development, launch, and iteration. Create program goals and related metrics, track progress and manage through obstacles to achieve your objectives.

  • Communication: Clearly articulate product plans, benefits, and results to a range of audiences, including executives and external partners.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience as a product manager or owner

  • Experience owning technology products

  • Business level English language skills (both verbal and written) required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
